We can't imagine the quarters I spent in the arcade on Asteroids, at least until PacMan came out, so here we go.
The game has some hits and misses. It has a background that didn't exist, but the graphics otherwise are pretty close as far as the asteroids, your ship, and the enemy ships. However, there's one big misstep - no thrusting sound and that bothered us.
One unique feature is adding scanlines giving the game that retro screen look with some lines going through it. It's a subtle, but effective touch. Click on the third screenshot below to see how it looks. Joysticks are also supported. You can run it in a window or full screen. It also has high scores. We really miss the thrust sound, however. Some posts are auto-moderated to reduce spam, including links and swear words. When you make a post, and it does not appear, it went into moderation.
